Terms of Service
The rules of the road for using Envoy. Effective January 2026.
Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Envoy, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service. If you're using Envoy on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these terms.
What Envoy Does
Envoy is a platform that lets you create AI-powered avatars trained on your knowledge and communication style. Your Envoy can interact with visitors, answer questions, and represent you online.
We provide the tools and infrastructure to build, train, and deploy your Envoy. The content you provide and the responses your Envoy generates are your responsibility.
Your Account
You need an account to use Envoy. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Let us know immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
You must provide accurate information when creating your account and keep it up to date. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that use false information.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Envoy to impersonate someone without their consent, generate harmful or misleading content, violate any laws, or infringe on others' intellectual property.
Your Envoy must not be trained to provide medical, legal, or financial advice unless you are a qualified professional in that field and clearly disclose the AI nature of responses.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these guidelines, with or without notice depending on severity.
Your Content
You retain ownership of all content you upload to train your Envoy. By uploading content, you grant us a license to use it solely for the purpose of operating and improving your Envoy.
You're responsible for ensuring you have the right to use any content you upload. Don't upload content that belongs to someone else without permission.
AI-Generated Content
Your Envoy generates responses using AI based on the training content you provide. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated responses may occasionally be incorrect, incomplete, or inconsistent with your intent.
You acknowledge that Envoy's responses are generated by artificial intelligence and may not perfectly represent your views. You are responsible for reviewing and managing your Envoy's behavior.
We recommend informing visitors that they're interacting with an AI. Envoy provides built-in disclosure mechanisms for this purpose.
Payment & Subscriptions
Paid features are billed according to the plan you select. Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel before the renewal date.
We may change pricing with 30 days' notice. Price changes won't affect your current billing period. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis—contact support if you have concerns.
Limitation of Liability
Envoy is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI responses will be accurate.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you've paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Termination
You can delete your account at any time from your dashboard. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms or if required by law.
Upon termination, your training content and account data will be deleted within 30 days, except where we're required to retain it for legal purposes.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts located in Delaware, unless otherwise required by local consumer protection laws.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We'll notify you of material changes via email or a notice on the platform at least 30 days before they take effect. Continuing to use Envoy after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
